Chimney Services

The National Fire Protection Association recommends that homeowners have their chimney inspected at least once a year!

We offer a full portfolio of chimney system services throughout Northern Virginia, and are equipped to address all of your maintenance and safety needs. Our services include:

Waterproofing/Repair & Restoration

We offer the full range of repairs to chimney systems, big and small—from repairing leaky flashing to tuckpointing and masonry repair to relining the flue and chimney rebuilding. We routinely work with homeowners, roofers and property managers to solve water related problems around chimneys.

Chimney Evaluations & Sweeping

Our CSIA Certified Chimney Sweep is me the owner of the company.  I have been in the chimney business for 30 years and I have held and renewed the CSIA Certification since 1988! The CSIA Certification is a voluntary program put forth by the National Chimney Sweep Guild designed to train INDIVIDUALS in proper techniques, safety issues and codes.  The Certified Sweep signs a written code of ethics and fair business practices as part of the program. We pay annual fees to fund the program and we pay retesting fees to recertify every 3 years.

I will come to your house to honestly evaluate and sweep chimneys of all kinds, including oil-, wood-, and gas-burning chimneys. While sweeping your system, I will ensure that it’s in proper working order. I look for any problems that could prevent peak performance and recommend what is needed for your system to burn cleanly and safely. Check out this article on the average cost of a chimney sweep and what it involves.

Our current charge for a fireplace chimney cleaning and a Level 1 Inspection is $149.00.  The charge could be slightly more for woodstove, gas log or furnace chimneys.

Beware and be suspicious of the below market cost offers you may receive.  Watch out for some of the out of town companies with the glitzy websites who send some recently hired subcontractor working on a commission out to your house. Remember you are inviting this employee into your home to honestly and fairly service your fireplaces and chimneys and point out any areas that could present a safety hazard to your family!

John Orosch CSIA Certifed #1858 Since 1988.

We help eliminate problems before they start by replacing rusty metal chase tops.  We offer both the stainless steel ones and factory primed steel painted with oil based enamel different colored paints!
